I offer private lessons on many percussion instruments. Personally, I believe that creating percussion generalists makes our music communities stronger. However, if you want your private lessons to be more specialized in a specific area, I can do that, too! To get a feel for my playing style, check out my youtube here. Areas of focus (at the discretion of the student):

Drum-set
“The Big Three” (mallet/keyboard percussion, snare drum, and timpani)
Hand Drums
Jazz keyboard improvisation
Marching percussion

Rates:

30 minute private lessons: $40
Hourly private lessons: $65

I also offer competitive rates based off of your income. To learn more about this, message me directly — every situation is different, and I NEVER want money to be a factor in my student’s education.

Location:

I am flexible. An important component of being a great teacher is recognizing that every student has unique needs, interests, and schedules. I want to find a place and time that work for both of us. At the moment, I offer lessons in Boulder, CO; however, this summer I will be opening up a studio in the Denver area. Also, if you are a school student, there’s a great chance that your music director will let you use the space to study privately with me. I am willing to travel for lessons with a commuting fee (dependent on the location of the lesson).
